I saw the trio I’m With Her in Arkansas about ten years ago. Sara Watkins, Aoife O’Donovan and Sarah Jarosz had just put their solo careers on hold and come together to record their first music together. They have since gone back to their own careers, until this year, with a new collection entitled Wild and Clear and Blue. They share songwriting and playing effortlessly and the vocal harmonies are divine.

Robert Deitch was born and raised in a “3 Church, 2 Tavern Town” in southeastern Iowa. He has spent the past fifteen years in Nashville’s Music Row as a staff writer (he has had thirty songs recorded by other artists) and it’s a puzzle to me that he has not spent more time in his spotlight. Deitch’s skills as a songwriter par excellence and his dusky and passionate vocals leap out of the speakers. On this, his fourth album, he conveys a master touch of authenticity.

Debuting in 2005, Tahlequah, Oklahoma’s Turnpike Troubadours have released albums of the highest alt. country/Americana standard and have garnered a seriously strong fan base (they were recently inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall Of Fame). Their songs have featured in the TV series ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Landman’ to great effect. The Price Of Admission showcases the cohesive musicianship and vivid storytelling, produced by Shooter Jennings and collaborations with Ketch Secor, Dave Simonett and John Fullbright.
