MountainGrass is an intimate, friendly and engaging bluegrass and old-time music event held over three days every November.
It is organised by the enthusiastic ABOTMA committee (Australasian Bluegrass and Old-time Music Association). In 2024 Mountaingrass will be held 15 to 17 November and in a new location, the picturesque alpine village of Bright in north-east Victoria.
Mountaingrass showcases some of the best bluegrass and old-time musicians from Australia and beyond. It features concerts, jam sessions, workshops and plenty of opportunities to meet and play with fellow music lovers.
Venues in Bright include three community halls within a stone’s throw of each other.

Provisional Program
There will be plenty of workshops and jams for all skills stages, as well as instrument sales. Workshops cover guitar, fiddle, banjo, bass, mandolin, gospel, harmony singing and instrument maintenance, plus sessions on performance skills and songwriting.
