Watchhouse Australian Tour Dates

North Carolina’s Watchhouse Tour Australia
Formerly Mandolin Orange
October 2022 Dates Announced
Watchhouse was formed in North Carolina in 2009 by Andrew Marlin and fiddler Emily Frantz, releasing engaging contemporary folk music (under the banner of Mandolin Orange until recently).
Five classy albums released (read our review of their 2015 release Such Jubilee) and a growing following has led to full venues at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and Colarado’s Red Rocks amphitheatre. Listening Through The Lens caught the duo at the famed Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Owensboro, Kentucky – read our review of the show.
By 2019, the pair, having recently had their first child, realised they needed a change. It may seemingly have just come down to the name, which no longer felt right, but in reality – and as revealed by album number six, simply entitled Watchhouse – the new name represents their reinvention as a band more willing to experiment within the confines of their acoustic based sound.
Their first Australian tour (by Love Police Touring) will include two Victorian shows, Brisbane and Sydney plus their Out On The Weekend appearance. It is highly recommended that you take in one of their shows this October.
