Upcoming Album – ‘The Show: Live From The UK

Out August 19, 2022

Grammy-nominated and Country Music Association Award-winning recording artist Gretchen Peters has long been known for her songwriting with a range of artists covering her material – George Strait, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, Bonnie Raitt and Neil Diamond. Peters was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014.

But Peters is also a superb singer and her live shows are beautiful and highly emotional experiences AND there’s nothing like hearing the interpretations of songs from their author.

Peters has just announced a brand new live album, The Show: Live from the UK which will be available August 19 via Proper Music Group. Featuring eighteen tracks from Peters’ impressive catalogue, this will be her first release since 2020’s tribute to Mickey NewburyThe Night You Wrote That Song and her first live issue since 2005’s Trio.

The material was drawn from three performances from Peters’ 2019 Strings Attached Tour – April 19 at St. George’s, Bristol; April 22 at The De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill-On-Sea; and April 23 at The Apex, Bury St. Edmunds. Featured are Peters’ touring band – Barry Walsh (piano, vocals), Colm McClean (electric guitar, vocals) and Conor McCreanor (electric and upright bass, vocals), as well as a Scottish string quartet featuring Seonaid Aitken (violin), Amira Bedrush-McDonald (violin), Sarah Leonard (viola) and Alice Allen (cello).
