Extensive Line-Up, Artist Of The Year, Emerging Artist Of The Year
As you well know, it’s been a super rough time for music festivals and other live shows for almost two years.
And it all started at the conclusion of Port Fairy Folk Festival 2020 when the global lockdown started within a few days.

While the live music industry is still pretty shaky with many events across Australia not proceeding in January and February, the pandemic outlook may be getting ready to improve for our beloved music sector.
A week is a long time in politics and maybe a month is a long time in a pandemic.
The 45th edition of the Port Fairy Folk Festival is timed for 11 to 14 March and looks to be ploughing ahead, able to fit in with health and safety protocols.
It will be one of the largest folk music gatherings held in Australia for a while and the symmetry of it leading us out of the pandemic effectively bookending our tough two years is not lost on us here at Listening Through The Lens. We will be covering the event with unbridled enthusiasm, providing some lead-up pieces, daily pictorials and a wrap article. Stay tuned!
