Vol. 2 is the second instalment of the newly unearthed cache of home demos and reel-to-reel recordings from the vault of the highly-esteemed folk/Americana Welch and Rawlings.

This latest volume was recorded between the making of two seminal Welch recordings Time (The Revelator) and Soul Journey, and is the next release of archival music in the Gillian Welch Boots Series. (Read about Boots 2, Vol 1).

Two of the songs have already surfaced, “Wouldn’t Be So Bad” was cut by Alison Krauss & Union Station in 2004 on Lonely Runs Both Ways and “Hundred Miles” was recorded by I’m With Her in 2018 on See You Around.

Boots No. 2: The Lost Songs, Vol. 2 is available digitally now HERE, with Vol. 3 following on November 13 this year.
