Logan Ledger Eponymous Debut

Logan Ledger
Self-Titled Release
Out Now
Legendary producer and artist (and thirteen-time Grammy winner) T Bone Burnett took a real shine to the talent and potential of San Francisco Bay singer/songwriter Logan Ledger.
Burnett agreed to produce Ledger’s debut and assembled a hot group of players to contribute – guitarist Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello), drummer Jay Bellerose (Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne), bassist Dennis Crouch (Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton) and guitarist/pedal steel player Russ Pahl (Kacey Musgraves, Tyler Childers).
“When we went in to make the album the songs pretty much just fell out,” Ledger says of working with Burnett. “It felt entirely natural. T Bone is a master at creating just the right vibe for each musical situation. He can do this by playing a line on the guitar, recalling some deep memory, or by uttering just the right phrase at just the right moment. There’s something intangible and mysterious about it.”
We at Listening Through The Lens saw Ledger perform a few songs at last year’s AmericanaFest in Nashville and were struck by his vocal ability to how he was able to re-contextualize a classic country vocal vibe, leaving plenty of space and providing beauty in simplicity. This rising artist’s self-titled debut album is out now via Electro Magnetic/Rounder Records.
