New Album ‘Run Home Slow’

Budding Australian rock/soul group The Teskey Brothers have just released “Man of the Universe”, the second song off of their upcoming album Run Home Slow which will hit the shelves August 2, 2019 (on Glassnote Records).
The Teskeys are renowned for taking the Motown Sound and putting a young, fresh lens to it – keeping the groove but inflaming it with all sorts of vigorous brush strokes. Listening Through The Lens has followed the band for a while and you can read our thoughts on their presence on stage – at Music On The Hill and Summer Nights Festival.
The band (singer Josh Teskey, guitarist Sam Teskey, bassist Brendan Love and drummer Liam Gough) delivered with their first record, Half Mile Harvest (2017). That said, there’s room on the highway ahead for an irresistible follow-up and a marked blow-out in their popularity and they explore more fully expanding beyond their native Australian shores.
To help them navigate this process, the band has enlisted the help of producer Paul Butler (Michael Kiwanuka, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Andrew Bird) who flew in to work with the band at their home studio in Melbourne, Victoria.
The band has just embarked on their USA tour (plus a show in London UK), initially with headline shows and then supporting Tash Sultana at some iconic venues (The Ryman, Red Rocks, The Moody Theatre). Full list of tour dates below.
