Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Grant-Lee Phillips led the group Grant Lee Buffalo in the 1990’s. He has been solo just about ever since. After being based in various California locations (Stockton, San Francisco and L.A.) for many years, Phillips moved to Nashville in 2013. He released eight full-albums before the move and two since – The Narrows and Widdershins (both via Yep Roc) from his time in Tennessee.
Listening Through The Lens caught him at Folk Alliance International 2018 and fortunately he is now headed to Australian shores this May. Highly recommended by the team here, you can see the tour poster below and links to album reviews featured on this site.
“After so many years, I am finally returning for a proper tour of Australia this May, explains Grant. “I’ll be joined by special guest Matt Joe Gow. I look forward to these shows and the welcoming spirit of Australia.”
And welcome here he surely will be!
