Moon River Festival
Chattanooga Tennessee
8-9 September 2018
If, like the Listening Through The Lens team, you are heading to Nashville for the Americana Festival and Conference this September, this could be a mighty handy stop-over on the way there. Chattanooga is hosting the Moon River Festival and is just two hours south-east, and two days prior, to AmericanaFest in Music City.
Moon River has outgrown its birthplace Levitt Shell in Memphis TN. Organisers (AC Entertainment and artist Drew Holcomb) have settled on Coolidge Park in downtown Chattanooga as the new site. The new home is the gateway to the Appalachian Mountains and one of the most beautiful cities in the region. Coolidge Park is right in the heart of town, connected to one the world’s largest pedestrian bridges, Walnut Street Bridge, overlooking the Tennessee River.
The initial artist lineup for the 2018 Moon River Music Festiva has been unveiled. This year’s edition of the two-day event will feature twenty acts across two stages on September 8 and 9.
Tickets are available exclusively at www.MoonRiverFestival.com
The 2018 lineup features a specially curated group of artists including: The Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Judah & The Lion, Trampled By Turtles, Margo Price, Mavis Staples, I’m With Her, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Joseph, The Secret Sisters and many more.
