A Short, Sweet Debut from Austin’s Beth // James

Austin indie-folk duo Beth // James will be issuing a debut EP release All In Life on April 28 2017.
Band members are Jordan James Burchill and Mikaela Beth Kahn and the EP was recorded by Brian Douglas Phillips (David Ramirez, Rob Baird).
The smooth opener and first single ‘Lion Eyes’ was written after a friend lost his identity from a new relationship. The song takes place in a smoky, dimly lit bar with a girl sipping a cocktail as she picks out a man to prey on.
‘I Miss The Music In Austin’ is an undisputed love letter to the duo’s adopted hometown of Austin, Texas. If you have spent much time there, it is easy to associate with the sentiment as it is a totally lovable music city.
The song was written while the home-sick pair was on tour in Portland, Oregon. It is a sweet dedication to the music of Austin and all the local artists. Here are the clips for those two songs:
