Neil Young – No ‘On The Beach’

Neil Young pulls out of Bluesfest 2017 and other Australian shows

neilAs expected, Neil Young will not be at Bluesfest next year.

Just days ago, Frontier Touring announced that he won’t be performing any side shows around Australia and New Zealand next year and the more hopeful among us were hoping that he would still be thundering with his new band Promise Of The Real at Byron Bay next Easter.

Today, however Bluesfest advised that he will not be on the Bill for the 2017 edition of the festival which will be held 13 to 17 April.

The Bluesfest media release reads:

This comes as a great disappointment to Bluesfest, as well as all the Neil Young fans, who were looking forward to his performance.

Bluesfest is currently working on replacing Neil Young with a new headliner for the Friday night.

Neil was last on these shores in 2013.  Read our review of his Melbourne show.
