Fishing Near Clarksdale Mississippi

By the time you read this, I will be somewhere over the Pacific.

Being wined and dined by United Airlines in economy class.  I fear for my knees if the person in front of me reclines their seat all the way back, but hopefully I can get some rest so by the time I arrive at Los Angeles, I am relatively refreshed.  At least it’s a direct flight and we will be leaving L.A. by car which is greatly preferable to a subsequent long domestic flight to, say, New Orleans or Dallas.

This tour will be about four weeks and cover seven States, almost all of them down South.  We will be covering three music festivals, many live side shows, some wildlife experiences, chilling out time, shopping and some wine tasting.

The itinerary will cover:

  • the Americana Music Festival in Nashville TN
  • the fayettevilleroots festival in Fayetteville AR – see line-up below
  • the celebrate 450! event in St Augustine FL
  • a Steve Earle concert 333 feet below ground
  • a visit to the key music cities of New Orleans LA, Clarksdale MS and Muscle Shoals AL
  • escorted tours of the San Diego CA and Jacksonville FL zoos
  • relaxation in the beautiful Amador County wine region.

I plan on posting just about daily (it might get a little hectic during the music festivals!).

I hope you follow our exploits – it should be fun.

  1. Hi Rob and Jenny,
Enjoy your USA travelling. Seems a nice mix of music and other things with the zoos and family/wine visit.
We just got back from our 3 weeks in Italy on sunday night. It was fabulous. Plenty of sun, pasta, walking and beaching Italian style on stones.
I will look forward to reading the travelog as usual. Have fun!!!!
