First New Material For Thirteen Years

Out April 2018

 

Oh Boy Records has announced The Tree of Forgivness – a new album by legendary singer-songwriter John Prine.  Produced by Grammy-Award winning Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson), the album is Prine’s first featuring new material in over thirteen years.

 

 

The Tree of Forgiveness was recorded in RCA Studio A in Nashville.  The songs were co-written with Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) Roger Cook, Pat McLaughlin, Keith Sykes and Phil Spector (!).  It also features contributions from guests Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile and Amanda Shires.

Prine will be touring extensively from April to promote the new album.  On the day of the album’s release, Prine will co-headline a concert with Sturgill Simpson at Radio City Music Hall in New York – DATES HERE.
