CW Stoneking USA/Canada Tour 2017

Read about Bluesman CW Stoneking’s 2017 North American Tour

Critically acclaimed Australian bluesman CW Stoneking makes his return to North America for a run of east coast tour dates, culminating with an appearance at the Newport Folk Festival.  See below for the complete schedule.

Stoneking’s work is unique and embedded in the deepest roots of traditional blues music.  His most recent album (and U.S. debut) Gon’ Boogaloo reached #9 on Billboard‘s Blues chart and received extensive critical American acclaim:

NPR Music’s Bob Boilen: “He grew up on this music, he loves this music, he’s deep inside this music — this is what he is and knows, and it really feels like it comes from the right place.”
PRI’s “The World”: Gon’ Boogaloo “incredibly well-crafted and true to both musical style and recording techniques of prewar blues in the South,”
Stereogum: “Classic electric chicken grease chords, a three-piece backup harmony, rhythmic bass and claps fitting for a jitterbug or bouncy two-step combine for a feel reminiscent of early Ray Charles,”
Village Voice calls Stoneking “the hottest—and most enigmatic—blues artist in Australia.”
