Tex, Don & Charlie

TEX, DON & CHARLIE

To Release Third Studio Album

YOU DON’T KNOW LONELY

New Video Below

Three great Australian rock music legends Tex Perkins (vocals), Don Walker (keyboard) and Charlie Owen (guitar) have reformed their super-trio Tex, Don and Charlie.

Perkins has fronted The Cruel Sea, The Beasts of Bourbon and other bands, Walker’s impressive solo career follows his key role in Cold Chisel and Owen is one of Australia’s best guitarists.  Together, they are a highly-impressive force.  The new release You Don’t Know Lonely (set for release on June 30 2017 via EMI Music Australia) is a collection of twelve stories and comes over a decade later than the trio’s last album All Is Forgiven.

You Don’t Know Lonely was produced by the band and engineered by Ted Howard and brought to life with some help from drummer Charley Drayton, bassist Steve Hadley and pedal steel player Garrett Costigan.  The album’s lead track, Perkins’ ‘A Man In Conflict With Nature’ is darkly striking and humorous – the clip is below:

You can pre-order the album HERE.

The album ushers in the band’s first tour in twelve years, kicking off at the end of August and running all through September 2017.  Dates below.  Tickets for all shows go on sale 9am Tuesday, June 6 and every ticket sold for a limited time (until Friday June 23)  includes a free download code for the song A Man In Conflict With Nature’.
