Conor Oberst

Conor Oberst will release a new album, Salutations, on Nonesuch Records, on March 17, 2017.

The album is a companion piece to his 2016’s Ruminations which, despite his original intentions, was recorded solo – with just voice, piano, guitar and harmonica.

Salutations includes full band versions of the ten songs from the earlier release, plus seven additional songs, some from an additional session at Five Star Studios in Echo Park.

Here’s a clip for a track from the new album, ‘A Little Uncanny’:

Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss has just issued a new album Windy City (via Concord) which is noteworthy as being her first solo collection in seventeen years.  Windy City includes a bunch of country and bluegrass classics, with songs originally sung by the likes of Bill Monroe, Willie Nelson and Brenda Lee.

Here is a clip for ‘I Never Cared For You’.

Lindi Ortega

‘Til The Goin’ Gets Gone’ is the title track of a new EP by Lindi Ortega (from Shadowbox Music) which features three new songs and a cover of Townes Van Zandt‘s ‘Waiting Around To Die’.  The Canadian songstress with the big voice recorded the four tracks in a converted East Nashville manor.
