Fayettevilleroots 2017 is happening 24 to 27 August.
Beautifully located in the north-west corner of Arkansas, this college town has been making waves, slowly but inevitably. As each year passes, the ‘little event that could’, Fayettevilleroots 2017 grows in stature. The event is managed by Bryan and Bernice Hembree (aka the duo Smokey & The Mirror) and Chef Jerrmy Gawthrop. It’s about music, sure but is just about heaven for foodies as well. Sustenance for the spirit and body are closely intertwined, almost as if there’s no point in having one with the other.
The Listening Through The Lens team has covered the past two festivals in this beautiful part of the world, where the friendliness and community pride spirals off the pavement. If you have not already, you may wish to take a look at our words and pictures that try to capture (but cannot really) the joy of this gathering. There is our 2016 coverage – day one, day two, day three and day four. Going to 2015, you can read the opening, day one, day two and day three.
