JD McPherson’s New Album Out February 10 2015
– Let the Good Times Roll
JD McPherson’s debut album of 2012 Signs & Signifiers was full of authentic roots rock n roll, with torrents of spirit and attention-to-detail for authenticity of sound and production (Jimmy Sutton produced). His follow-up Let The Good Times Roll is about to be released on Rounder Records, working with a new producer, Mark Neill, but with his bassist and right-hand man Sutton still close by. I expect to see JD again bringing an energy and bite to his revivalist rock ‘n’ roll.
Here’s a clip of three JD tunes, the first of which is the title track of the new release. Can’t wait to hear the whole collection.

– Something in the Water
The dozen-song set, produced by the aforementioned Jimmy Sutton is another eagerly anticipated release (also on Rounder Records) which could mark a new landmark in his career. The St. Louis-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist draws from a deep well of American musical traditions to create distinctively personal music. Here’s a teaser.
