Beth Hart to release new album “Better Than Home” in April 2015
Australian Tour 2015
Grammy Award-nominated blues-rocker Beth Hart is set to release her new studio album Better Than Home in April 2015. Produced by American duo Michael Stevens and Rob Mathes, Better Than Home features eleven new songs from this gifted and fearless artist.
I vividly recall her performance at Byron Bay’s Bluesfest last year, which was one of my gigs of the year. I always knew Beth Hart had a killer, soulful voice. Seeing her live for the first time made me appreciate that the recordings I’d heard don’t really capture the drama, fragility, passion and emotion of this dynamic performer. The interplay with the lead guitarist was memorable, as were many of the songs – “Caught Out In The Rain” was chilling. By the end of the performance, she looked emotionally and physically exhausted, having held nothing back.
Reportedly, Better Than Home is another personal and uplifting release – a celebration of life from a woman who has battled numerous setbacks and personal demons to be at top of her game as a unique performer and classy singer/songwriter.
The first single from Better Than Home will be “Mechanical Heart” which is a love song to Hart’s husband of fifteen years”. Check out the album trailer below.

Just back from seeing Beth Hart. Historic. She raised Joplin from the dead, honored Aretha, nodded in passing to Etta, and then drove on into territory she alone occupies – HEADBUTLER.COM (USA) 2014
