Raised By Eagles
New Double-A Side single “Jackie” / “Honey” Out Now
New Album ‘Diamonds In The Bloodstream’ Imminent
Four piece alt. country-rockers Raised By Eagles released their debut LP in July 2013. A spell-binding collection of songs which combined an impressive songwriting craft with tasteful playing. The album was nominated for Best Country Album at The Age Music Victoria Awards 2013. You can read my review here.
Since that time live performances have cemented their reputation. The band delivered a strong run of shows throughout 2014 and I was lucky to catch three of them. They’ve been hard at work on their follow-up, entitled Diamonds In The Bloodstream due for release March 2015 through Vitamin Records.
And now we have two of the new album’s tracks released, “Jackie” and “Honey” on 1 February 2015. Have a listen below.
“Jackie” showcases the louder, grittier side of Raised By Eagles (early Petty or Springsteen come to mind) and “Honey” is a beautifully-crafted acoustic tune.
Both songs were engineered by Roger Bergodaz at Tender Trap Studios in Northcote Victoria Australia. The record was co-produced by Raised By Eagles and Bergodaz, and mastered by Adam Dempsey at Jack The Bear’s Deluxe Mastering.
Raised By Eagles is Luke Sinclair on vocals and guitar, Johnny Gibson on drums, Nick O’Mara on vocals and lead guitars , and Luke Richardson on bass.
Raised By Eagles will celebrate the release of their double A side at the Toff In Town, 252 Swanston St Melbourne on Sunday 22 February 2015.
