Lew Card’s music is a laid-back, easy shuffle with propelling lyrics – perfect for a hot summer day!  His songs are based on hand-me-down quality of southern mystique presented through everyday life.

“Card is the latest singer of the neo-traditional country movement in Americana music.  His style is all stroll, lemonade afternoons, and songs that cover Ulyssian distances in small steps…rustic and simple, but brimming with personality and pride… The instrumentation on this album stands out as the rare feat of complex simplicity – clearly someone worked hard to make such layered arrangements, but they listen as organic and effortless. – Lone Star Music Magazine

Lew’s new album is Low Country Hi-Fi.

Low Country Hi-Fi, has a healthy pulse monitoring a shuffle that sticks to step in an unwavering line. The songs amble onto the album staying true to the beat that brought them… The grooves are mildly similar but their true linking comes from both styles ability to remain set and locked from song to song without ever becoming predictable… The music seems to come from different starting points on Low Country Hi-Fi, though subtle touches are built in to create a common ground” – The Alternate Root

“Austin’s Card has traveled the well-worn songwriter highway between Texas and Tennessee with tunes steeped in the familiarity of comforts like good whiskey and John Prine records” -Calissa Leclerc, Texas Music Magazine

Low Country Hi-Fi is a collection of nine songs born without a true timestamp.  Recorded and mixed by James Stevens at EAR Studio in Austin, Low Country Hi-Fi reflects a subtle style where a string band meets the county blues.

Here’s a track from the album – “Maybe I’m Doing It Wrong”, a Randy Newman cover.
