Robert Ellis – New Release – The Lights From The Chemical Plant

Robert Ellis’ new album The Lights From The Chemical Plant out now on New West Records

EllisChemicalProduced by Jacquire King (Tom Waits, Kings Of Leon), Robert Ellis’ forthcoming album ranges from the majestic string-adorned title track to noir pop rock and somber confessionals.  The heartbreaking first single, “Only Lies,” premiered over at Esquire and gives a glimpse into the immense growth of this young songwriter.

Robert has toured Australia twice.  I’ve seen him perform live three times and I’m very keen to get my hands on The Lights From The Chemical Plant as quickly as possible.  He supported Calexico at Slim’s San Francisco this October and performed quite a bit of material I hadn’t heard, so I am presuming those songs will be on the new outing.  His earlier (2011) release Photographs was a very impressive debut.

Ellis is heading back on the road very soon in the U.S. so check out the tour dates to see when he’s coming to your town.
